Silicone Products

The most outstanding characteristic of silicone rubber is the retention of its many desirable properties over the very wide temperature range of -148º F to 600º F  (-100º C to 315º C). Silicone is impervious to water and oil and has chemical and fuel resistance at temperatures which preclude the use of other chemical-resistant elastomers, with the possible exception of fluoroelastomers. Silicone has great electrical properties, and retains dielectric strength, power factor, and insulation resistance over its wide temperature range. Silicone has good weathering resistance; sunlight, ozone, oxygen, bacteria, fungus soil chemicals, etc. with very little deteriorating effect.

Though most of the conventional rubber products we produce are black, silicone allows us to introduce color to the manufacturing process. Because of the sensitive conditions needed to produce silicone products, our entire Silicone Department is housed in a climate-controlled building.

Our state-of-the-art synchronized extrusion and continuous cure system allow us to produce extruded profiles to extremely close tolerances and exacting specifications. Continuous lengths and spliced parts from silicone extrusions are our specialty. Homogeneous, fabric-reinforced, and bonded-to-metal moldings are custom-made products available in silicone.

Synaflex Silicone Rubber
Custom Silicone Parts

Synaflex has the ability to duplicate any rubber product in silicone.

Versatile

Pretty much anything produced at Synaflex can also be duplicated in silicone: molded, extruded, covering rolls and wheels, and so on.

Temperature Resistant

Silicone is known for its extreme temperature resistance and can be a great alternative compound when needed.

Limitations

The only exception is that the extrusions are limited to a 2" X 2" cross-section size.
When Quality Matters

Users turn to Synaflex!

Quality assurance is the single most important subject at Syanflex.

Every batch of mixed rubber undergoes rigorous testing in our laboratory to ensure that it meets all of the physical requirements before being released to production. Quality control checks are made at various points throughout the production process to ensure that our customers receive products that meet their specifications.
